አጃ — Ethiopian Adja (oats) is the traditional grain used to prepare muk (atmit), a smooth, warm, nourishing porridge-drink loved across Ethiopia. Brought to you by Mekazon, straight from home. This is the 500g (ግማሽ ኪሎ) pack.
Adja is best known as the drink prepared for new mothers after childbirth — warm muk is traditionally served to help a mother recover her strength after labour and to support healthy breast-milk flow. It is also a comforting, easily digestible drink for anyone who is recovering, feeling unwell, or simply wants a wholesome warm cup.
How to prepare muk: whisk the Adja with water (and a little milk if you like), simmer gently while stirring until smooth and creamy, then finish with niter kibbeh (Ethiopian spiced clarified butter) and honey or sugar to taste.
